Your application is being reviewed

This article is for members of an organisation that uses Portava.

In short

• Some organisations review every application before opening the portal.
• If the team asks for more information, reply by email and your application stays open.
• Payment is taken either when you apply or once you are approved, depending on the organisation.

Some organisations review each application before letting anyone in. If yours does, you see a page headed Your application is with us after you confirm on the join page. The membership team will look at it.

What the page shows

The page names the plan you applied for and the date you submitted. The organisation's contact email address is shown if it has one, so you can add anything useful.

You cannot enter the portal while your application is pending. If you sign in, you are brought back to this page until there is a decision.

If the team asks a question

Sometimes the team needs something more before deciding. The page then changes to We need a little more from you and shows their question. Reply to the organisation's email address and they will pick your application back up. It stays open until you do.

When a decision is made

If you are approved, you can sign in and enter the portal. A notification about the decision is waiting for you under the bell.

If your application is not approved, you cannot enter the portal. Contact the organisation if you would like to know why.

Payment timing

Your organisation decides when payment is taken. Some take it when you apply, so you pay at checkout and then wait; if an application paid this way is turned down, the organisation arranges a refund. Others take payment only once you are approved, so nothing is charged while you wait, and the organisation tells you how to pay once you are in.
