Viewing the portal as a member
How to see exactly what members see, without a second account.
This article is for the administrators who run an organisation's Portava portal.
In short
- View as member shows the member portal as members see it.
Choose View as member at the top of any admin page. The portal switches to the member view, with the home page, events, the directory and the assistant exactly as a member sees them.
What it is for
Checking how something you published looks, trying the member assistant, or following a member's report of a problem.
What it is not
You are still you. Actions you take are recorded against your account, and you cannot see any individual member's private data. To return, choose Exit member view.
Administrators without a membership
An administrator who is not also a member of the organisation can still use member view. Some pages that need a membership record, such as tickets and billing, will show as empty.
