Managing your bookings and tickets
Where your tickets live, how to cancel a place, and how waiting lists work when an event is full.
This article is for members of an organisation that uses Portava.
Every place you book is kept together, so the details are always to hand, including at the door of the event.
Your tickets
My tickets in the navigation lists your upcoming bookings with the time, venue and your ticket for each. On the day, having the ticket open on your phone is usually all the check-in desk needs.
Past events stay listed, which helps when you are trying to remember which session you attended.
Cancelling a booking
Plans change. Open the booking under My tickets and cancel from there. The place is released for someone else, and any refund is handled according to your organisation's cancellation policy, which is stated on the event page.
If it is too late to cancel formally, it is still worth telling your organisation. A released place can often go to a waiting list even at short notice.
Waiting lists
When an event is full, you can usually join the waiting list from the event page. If a place opens up, it is offered in the order people joined. You will be notified by email and given a window to confirm before the place passes to the next person.
Joining a waiting list costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
