How Portava pricing and billing work

In short

• Pricing is agreed with each organisation and is not published. Ask us for a quote.
• Members pay you directly through Stripe; Portava never holds the money.
• Portava invoices monthly in arrears on the 1st, by email, with 14 days to pay.

Portava has no public price list. Pricing is agreed with each organisation, and what you pay is not shown inside the product. Ask us for a quote and you will get a straight answer. There are two separate flows of money, and it helps to keep them apart.

Members paying your organisation

Members pay you directly by card, through your own Stripe account. Portava never holds the money: it settles into your Stripe balance and Stripe pays it out to your bank. A commission is deducted automatically at the moment of payment, so you never receive a separate bill for it. Your rate is shown under Card payments in Membership settings once Stripe is connected.

You can also record payments taken outside Stripe, such as bank transfers and cheques.

Portava invoicing your organisation

• Nothing is charged when you join, and there is no card to enter up front.
• We invoice monthly in arrears: on the 1st of each month, for the month just ended.
• The invoice is emailed to your organisation's contact address, with 14 days to pay.
• Credit on your account, or a payment you have made by bank transfer, comes off the next invoice before anything is charged.
• If an invoice goes unpaid, the Portava team follows up. Nothing is switched off automatically.

What you can see

Settings, then Plan & billing, shows your usage: the AI assistant allowance for the month, storage for files and video, and the number of active members the invoice counts. It also shows your payment history, with every Portava invoice and its status straight from Stripe, and a button to manage card details in Stripe's own portal. Questions about pricing go to Portava.
