Cancellations, refunds and waiting lists
How to cancel a place, when a refund applies, and how waiting lists work.
This article is for members of an organisation that uses Portava.
In short
- Cancel from My tickets, and refunds follow the event's terms.
- A waiting list records your interest; places are not offered automatically.
Cancelling a place
Open the booking in My tickets and choose Cancel. Your place is released straight away.
Refunds
Whether a paid ticket is refunded depends on the event's terms, which are shown on the ticket. Where a refund applies, request it from your ticket in My tickets. The organisation's team approves it and the money goes back to the card you paid with. A request made outside the event's refund window still reaches the team, who decide case by case.
Waiting lists
If an event is full and has a waiting list, you can add your name from the event page, with or without an account. Joining the list is not a booking, and a place is not offered to you automatically. If a place comes free, book it from the event page. If you are unsure whether one is available, contact the organisation's team through Support.
If something is not right
The organisation's team can see your booking and put things right. Contact them through Support.
