Approving member-submitted content

News stories and insights that members submit wait for your decision before they are published.

This article is for the administrators who run an organisation's Portava portal.

In short

  • Submitted content waits in Approvals, and nothing publishes without a decision.

Members can submit news stories and insights where their tier allows it. Nothing is published until your team approves it.

Where it waits

Approvals lists everything waiting on a decision across the portal, with the oldest first. This includes applications, submitted content, event proposals and refunds.

Reviewing a submission

Open it to read the piece as members would see it. You can edit the text, change the category, and add or replace the image before approving. If you decline, give a short reason and the member is told.

After approval

The piece is published under the member's name with their organisation's logo. It appears in News or Insights. It is also indexed for the assistant, so members can find it by asking.
